I bought two of them over that period. I have them to friends (moved up on them). Now I have to get them and return them myself as my friends don't do that.
I have to apologize and send them back! Ugh! Maybe I should stop giving things away because once I do that I'm responsible forever, I guess.

First you need to see if the serial numbers are part of the recall. I don't see any reason to return an item that has been working perfectly fine for several years.

Re the recall. Check your entire serial number, especially the last section of numbers.The QVC special value K10's are NOT included in the numbers listed for recall.

The recall notes they were purchased at Kmart, Kohl’s, Target, Walmart and other retailers nationwide, and online at keurig or greenmountaincoffee from December 2009 through December 2014

I entered the information on the form Keurig provided but haven't heard from them yet. However, in checking the complete serial number (not just the 31 at the front) evidently my K10 that I bought as a TSV is not in the recall. Haven't had any problem since I started using it, and since I only brew one cup at a time and perhaps just once or twice a day, I don't think there's going to be a problem. I really like it as I can brew coffee, tea, or hot chocolate depending upon my mood.

I'll jsut bring mine back to Kohls and get one that doesn't fall into the serial number range! I bought my keurig at Kohls specifically for the ease of returning/exchanging when the need arose. Need- I thought - meaning it stopped working! A recall qualifies too imo. They're open 24 hours until Christmas, too, I can avoid crazy shopping crowds right now.

You do have to be careful when you brew them fast like that. When you pop up the part where the kcup is steam will escape if you've barely brewed another one. You have cold water going down into a hot heating element. Ours is for traveling and we use it in motels. You just take caution when you pop it open.
