I purchased my long awaited Kitchenaid mixer just before Christmas...but just used it today so my return time has expired I guess. When I mixed up my cake today, I noticed a continuous ''clicking' sound coming from the mixer, in particular in the area where the beater attached into the mixer itself.  I am soooo disappointed.  Has any one else had this problem ?   I waited years to buy this mixer - and I'm afraid it is flawed....and I can't send it back.

Re: KITCHENAID MIXER NOISE ??

Good Morning - I bought an upgraded version of my Kitchen Aid stand  mixer a year ago.  Well, after having it for a short period of time (after the 30 day return policy for QVC) it developed a strange noise.  I contacted QVC Customer Service and they sent me a replacement because the mixer is warrantied for a year after purchase.  Hope this helps.

Don't panic, yet. Try checking YouTube for KA mixer problems. I've also heard of people calling the KA cutsomer service and letting them listen to the mixer over the phone. Good Luck. There are also handy fix it people that may be able to fix them, if you don't want to send it back.

Make certain you have the beater on the mixefr properly. I have caught myself putting it on too quickly and it isn't on properly then it makes noise.

Re: KITCHENAID MIXER NOISE ??

I called QVC's customer's service about the defective mixer and was told to just put it in a box and sent it back...that's a little easier said than done.  It a pretty heavy mixer and finding a box should be a real job !  She said that QVC will have another one sent out.  I am becoming very fearful of Kitchenaid now...not a good review coming from me !

Suggest that you take it to a store that does packing and shipping.  They've got boxes for almost anything and they'll also put stuff inside the box to cushion the mixer.  They'll also handle the shipping for you.  Be sure to send it in a way that you get a tracking number and a receipt as proof that you shipped it.

Good luck!!!

Re: KITCHENAID MIXER NOISE ??

Before getting upset about it or inconveniencing yourself with trying to pack it up to QVC, try contacting KitchenAid directly for assistance.

It coli;d be. as amptjer [pster omdocated. tje attacj, emt os mpt pm [rp[er;u. pr ot cpi;d be tthat connects to the attachment needs to be adjusted.  Or, it could be a completely other issue.

KA will help determine the issue, and if it is defective, they will likely send you a replacement (as you should still be under the manufacturer's warranty).  They will then arrange pickup of the defective mixer.

Try KA.  Their customer service is great.

Well friends, I have an update on my noisy mixer.  I was preparing the mixer for return shipment to QVC and decided to try it one more time (to make sure I'd inserted the beater correctly as suggested previously).  I discovered that the ''ONLY BEATER'' that it makes the noise with is the ''flex edge beater'' with the grey rubber side.  I called Kitchenaid customer service and discussed it with them...even let the respresentative hear the sound.  She told me ' it was normal for that flex edge beater to make that noise' !  omg !  I am shocked.  I've never heard that "racket" when it has been demonstrated on QVC !  Have any of you experienced a different noise with that particular beater?  Thank you.

Turn the screw to the left and adjust the beater's height like the book says .

I have to adjust it for each size bowl

I agree with Shark. I think the beater could be hitting the inside of your bowl.
