Re: KA mixer if anybody is interested

LOL poor kid

don't want to hassle the workers, your price will be more.

Tell him that he'll back off.   True, though

They just figure it in , in materials, etc.

Re: KA mixer if anybody is interested

I wish they'd offer that new smaller model KA's come out with.  Have a beautiful contour silver one and works great!  But a smaller, lighter model would tempt me to donate my larger one as it seems the older I get, the heavier everything getsWoman LOL.

Years ago, it seemed that QVC presented the latest models on everything.  Nowadays. wondering if it's more like vendor overstocks they sell off - just mho.

Re: KA mixer if anybody is interested

I'm also looking for the mini mixer and have been on every website comparing costs, items included in their packup, costs of the new bowl with a handle if the model doesn't come with one and the dreaded shipping costs.  It is looking like I will get my best bet at QVC with the attachments they have included in their offer and the cost of the new bowl, I would end up with 2 bowls.  I love the green color at Williams and Sonoma but then I would have to purchase the flex blade and only have one bowl however no shipping charges.  What to do???  I'm going to wait and see if the Q does anything special with prices or shipping on Kitchenaid tomorrow.     Glad I don't have to task my mind with more than this issue today!!

send him out on errands if telling him he will face higher bill doesn't faze him

Never want to P O folks if they're good help. I hire somebody , let him in and say good morning and point to the job and disappear.

They won't come back if they remember being uncomfortable.

He's not that bad in fact the electrician just told him "I could use a guy like you to clean up & be my "gopher"!  you're hired!!!

Tomorrow and Thursday he'll be gone all day and so will I -- these guys will "miss" us😉

plus I'm sure they're used to it.  I just want it done & over with so i can get this house back to normal! Now I know what others talk about when remodeling - this is my first major project I'll be a expert by phase 2.😀

Re: KA mixer if anybody is interested

I've had my KA stand mixer since about 1983 and it's still going strong.

It sits on the counter, and I'l admit, it isn't like it gets used every day or even every week, but I love having it when I need it. It was a gift from my mom, so I don't expect to ever get rid of it.

I'd like to try a mini, simply to save space, and put my bigger one away. There is only one job per year that I do (Buckeye candy) that the mini might not be able to handle. I'd like the smaller footprint on my counter for sure.
