@Franell wrote:Cheesecake is definitely different strokes for different folks. Some people like it light and some enjoy it heavier. Some like it made with ricotta and others cream cheese. Some like a specific crust and others like a topping. So when it comes to a matter of taste how can one person judge for all?
@Franell, Exactly. Much like pizza. Too many different styles to settle on just one type.

Thanks everybody......now I have to go out tomorrow and get some Junior's, my favorite cake.

I am partial to Eli's cheesecake.
But I must say I make cheesecake myself.
My husband requested this yr and last year that I make a chai cheesecake bars instead of a birthday cake for his birthday celebration. Most all loved it. There were a few ( like a brother) who do not care for cheesecake. (I made him chocolate oatmeal bars instead
)!!

@Irmasdc Having had access to Juniors in Brooklyn my whole life, IMO, there is no better. I've had plenty of other cheesecakes in my life too. Even homemade ones. Nothing compares to Juniors.
Good luck and enjoy whatever you choose.![]()

It's just a matter of taste, so to speak! ![]()
I've ordered both. Junior's white chocolate raspberry cheesecake is one of the best I've ever tasted (second only to homemade). I've ordered it several times over the years for special occasions. The chocolate cookie crust is heaven.
I prefer David's cookies to their cheesecake.
I hope you enjoy whatever you decide to purchase...

@Irmasdc: I enjoyed your post and I absolutely understand not needing an excuse to feed a craving for dessert. I don't buy cheesecake because they are so easy to make. You should give it a try. Now, I can tell you about the Delioso and they are amazing. My fav is tiramisu and I have only attempted to make this once but no more. I will buy this brand. My fam prefer the chocolate and limoncello.
Just enjoy everything !!

@Spacrazy, I was chuckling today during the Crème Brûlée presentation. The host went on and on about how no one makes Crème Brûlée it at home...it's so difficult. I thought really? Really? Five ingredients, five steps...to me the most difficult is separating egg yokes.

I just can't justify spending that kind of $$ on a cheesecake from ANYWHERE. I can make a pretty good one myself and will live many years without tasting one from New York or from Davids----I did try some from HSN once--gag, choke, cough--it was HORRIBLE !!!

I can't justify either one...I live close to a Cheesecake factory restaurant...but I know that is not the case for everyone. I am fortunate.
On this one I am no help.
I have seen Cheesecake factory in Costco....FYI
