Juniors or David’s Cookies 🤔

I thought Juniors cheesecakes were the end all be all and, the only one in his freezer at home. I'm now confused bc he now said David's cookies sent him the NY Style scratch cheesecake and bc of the way it felt on his tongue, that's the only one in his freezer. Wonder where all the Jrs went 🤔

Tina Verelli won pillsbury for pumpkin ravioli. Not cheesecake.

Anyone try either one of these & if so, which is better?

@Irmasdc   It's my understanding all the food vendors gift the hosts their products ahead of time so they know what they taste like & even though I really like David I think even he will say anything to make a sale.

@colleena  You're correct. I just wish they would give a real review of it. I'd buy it based more on that than I would when "it's the only one I buy" is thrown in. Also, why buy it if they're getting samples probably daily. That's gotta be the biggest fridge ever..

Re: Juniors or David’s Cookies 🤔

There are so many types of cheesecake. My feeling is that Junior's cheesecake is better than no cheesecake. It's far from my favorite. I do really like David's cheesecake. It's not gummy like some frozen cheesecakes and it has a graham cracker crust, my favorite crust.

I've ordered both the whole cheesecakes and the sliced. The sliced are really the way to go. So much easier to remove a few slices at a time.

In my opinion, having lived near the original Juniors store for years, you cannot beat a Juniors cheesecake!

Re: Juniors or David’s Cookies 🤔

@Irmasdc Honestly, I never buy food because of a hosts comments or the rolling of the eyes, or even the happy dance.

The hosts will never take a bite and say it is so-so or awful, or even "okay". I do purchase many food items from QVC but I base it on the product, if it is something we like to eat, and reviews. I just never buy because a host says that's all they eat or how delicious it is. It very well could be delicious but everything they sample is "amazing".

Re: Juniors or David’s Cookies 🤔

I've never tried either one so I'm going to need to make a decision soon. With holidays coming (and me not doing anything but wanting an excuse to order 🤣) I just don't know which cheesecake to get or to skip both and go straight to delicioso limoncello or the chocolate one.

Re: Juniors or David’s Cookies 🤔

I worked near the Junior's in Bklyn for several years and have also been to the one in the city.

I love Junior's from the restaurants but have also sent it from QVC to my sister and brother in law who moved to Florida last year and missed it.  They raved about sll 3..the holiday one I sent at Christmas, the strawberry I sent for Easter and the chocolate mousse I se t for their July birthdays.  I've ordered David's once and it was good, but I wouldn't order it again (but their cookies are fantastic).

Re: Juniors or David’s Cookies 🤔

Cheesecake is definitely different strokes for different folks.  Some people like it light and some enjoy it heavier.  Some like it made with ricotta and others cream cheese.  Some like a specific crust and others like a topping.  So when it comes to a matter of taste how can one person judge for all?

Re: Juniors or David’s Cookies 🤔

I like Junior's cakes far more than their cheesecake. I did notice last time I was in Costco, so probably a month ago, they had small Junior cheekecakes. Not the traditional 8" they sometimes carry. These looked about 6". Didn't pay attention to the price since I knew I didn't have freezer space.
