I WAAAAANT the retro ice maker so bad but the grumpy husband said "Only if it's on easy pay"! I thought about hitting the floor and throwing a tantrum but he usually doesn't cave to that so I guess it's just a waiting game for easy pay..... 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

Son and DIL have ice maker. Three children comes in handy. Love the shape of the cubes. He uses special filter. Do agree with you!🙋

It's already one payment less expensive at the Home Depot...around $139 and change!   Besides if something is wrong with it, you can march it right back to the store (that's if you do have a Home Depot)

Oh and mine is sitting on the shelf  with all the rest of the novelty appliances I have accumulated.  It was great to have ice but you needed to watch the time you made it or it's making noise all night, then I don't believe you should use tap water since it has so many minerals in it and last, buying a bag for $2 and change is so much easier and the cubes are crystal clear.

I wouldn't want one unless you could store your ice in it.  What good is it to have to take the ice out and put in your freezer?  Might as well get some ice cube trays to make extra ice.

What is the purpose of this ice maker? How is it different than just making ice in your own freezer? I just don't get it. Kind-of a gimmick if you ask me.

Maybe you won't regret passing on it.  Seems like a noisy kitchen gadget that will not get used.

Just go ahead and purchase the ice maker you want. Aren't you an equal in your relationship. Why should he tell you what you can do and not do? He's your partner, not your parent.

QVC just sent me an email that everything is on 5+ easypays until 1:59 PM today.

But I don't think this ice maker is a good deal because, as has been pointed out, it doesn't store the ice. YMO.
