Re: I know I have more Lock and lock than I can possibly use in years, but

I can't help with a comparison, as I don't own any L&L glass containers.  Some of mine  are labeled with the brand name "Glass Lock" and the others are made by Pyrex.

Both brands have thick, stiff lid locks.  I assume that's a necessary feature, because the glass is thick and the lids have to be tough just to work well and create an airtight seal.

I just had some frosted flakes, which I have in the tall L&L cereal container. I also have other cereals in the tall, wider L&L. I had a very large box of cheerios - and I just poured it into one of my "older" wider, shorter L&L. My pantry is so neat and organized - with all my other L&L. I have many L&L in the freezer and refrigerator. The empty L&L containers - are kept in my kitchen cabinets. I also like buying different color tops. When I saw QVC a few nights ago, I had to control myself --- as I have a big supply and don't have any more room to store them. It's a good "addiction". Food stays fresher so much longer - and bugs stay away.

Oh dear, you MUST be kidding if you think I can help!  HA!   I have so much that it's just crazy.   But, I have also learned to back away, for the most part.  I do still buy some duplicates of individual sizes from time to time - sizes that I use a LOT and wouldn't want to be without.

But I have to say that I did get carried away with that one large bowl.  Remember back when QVC sold this set as a 'salad set'?  It was one alrge bowl and, IIRC, four small (same size) bowls?

Well, that large bowl is positively invaluable.  Fearing that something could happen and I'd be without it I, well, made sure that that didn't happen and I now have FIVE of the large one.   *embarrassed*

I use it for layer cakes, bundt cakes, watermelon halves in the summer, and all kinds of stuff.  At least I can know that there is no way that something will happen to all five of them!

Don't be so sure!

Should any of us drop by....and your back is turned...well, let's just say Lock and Lock is one of those things, when left unattended, can cause some of us to do things we normally wouldn't do! LOL
