KitchenAid Hand Mixer Question

[ Edited ]

So I purchased this item, but can't figure out what one of the attachments is supposed to do.  Is that an immersian blender or yet another type of "mixing" tool?  In the description, it's described as a "blender rod."

I just want to know if it's the same as an immersian blender, so I can use it for purreeing soups inside the pot.  Do you know?

Re: KitchenAid Hand Mixer Question

hi @LaLaMommy  in the video it shows that tool in use.  She gives a demonstration of how to use it.  It says it's used for fillings, I would imagine frostings, eggs if you'd like and I would also say milk shakes.  Take a look at the video, see what you think.

Re: KitchenAid Hand Mixer Question

It's for blending liquids where you don't need air incorporated. It works for sauces and thin flavored drinks like egg creams. It does not work like an immersion blender in that it can't pulverize food items.
