I know I have more Lock and lock than I can possibly use in years, but

when I saw the TSV value in copper, I just had to have it. It came today and it is

really nice. I love the color. Now I will vow off L& L for a long time. Gosh hope they

don't come up with some beautiful spring colors or designs. I won't look.  Chickenbutt,

please help me. I think I am an addict.

I just received my Lock & Lock TSV in red. It is my first set of L&L. I had forgotten how many pieces were in the set until I received it. I appreciate that they can be nested for storage purposes. I got them all washed and put away and got rid of all my old storage containers. I haven't used any yet so I'll be interested in how I like them.

Re: I know I have more Lock and lock than I can possibly use in years, but

Oh dear, you MUST be kidding if you think I can help!  HA!   I have so much that it's just crazy.   But, I have also learned to back away, for the most part.  I do still buy some duplicates of individual sizes from time to time - sizes that I use a LOT and wouldn't want to be without.

But I have to say that I did get carried away with that one large bowl.  Remember back when QVC sold this set as a 'salad set'?  It was one alrge bowl and, IIRC, four small (same size) bowls?

Well, that large bowl is positively invaluable.  Fearing that something could happen and I'd be without it I, well, made sure that that didn't happen and I now have FIVE of the large one.   *embarrassed*

I use it for layer cakes, bundt cakes, watermelon halves in the summer, and all kinds of stuff.  At least I can know that there is no way that something will happen to all five of them!

It's really NOT that I BUY that many sets...it's just that, well, I think they multiply in the cupboards...like Tribbles...

Thats my story and I am sticking with it!

I should probably leave my cupboards open so I can watch them!!!!!!!

I own plenty of Lock n Lock, but also own both glass and plastic Snapware by Pyrex.  I was surprised to see so many nice sets at such reasonable prices on the WorldKitchen website (the home page for Corning/Pyrex).

I  purchased my Snapware when it was on sale at Costco and figured that's where I'd get the best price.....but maybe not.

You guys are funny. I can see I am not getting any help for my addiction from any of you.

I do like the tribble comparison and will use that when my daughters go "MOM! what

are you doing buying all this L& L.  Do they have a rehab place for this addiction? They seem to have one for everything else.  Thanks for the input though.

Smiley Happy   Well, there ya have it!   I could learn a few things from YOU now, couldn't I?

Such a great bowl.   I actually found a 10" round little wood cutting board that fits EXACTLY inside the seal for this bowl (to use it as a cake dome) and if that weren't enough, I found 10" pre-cut rounds of parchment paper (probably at Amazon or King Arthur's).  So I just put that board down into the seal of the bowl and a couple sheets of parchment on top - VOILA, a perfect surface for a layer or bundt cake.

Then I can seal it up with the cake in there and it will stay fresh for the longest time.  Not that I eat cakes all the time but when I have to make one or I buy one, I know I have the perfect storage solution.

I love watermelons and in the summer I can cut a large one in half and put each half into one of those bowls for refrigerator storage.  Yum!  I miss watermelon already.  Smiley Happy
