I just watched FOOD NETWORK STAR for the first time… anyone else watch?

I generally avoid all the game shows on FN, so somehow I never watched Next Food Network Star, until today.

Does anyone else watch? Who's your favorite right now?

I taped the second one (last night) and haven't watched it yet but did watch the first one . This is the only food competition show that I'll watch on the Food Network. Always have liked it and watch some of the shows hosted by former winners. As I've only watched one, I don't have a favorite yet.

I've been watching. Nobody is really jumping out for me at this point but there seems to be a lot of contenders. This should be a good season.

I have a feeling that cowboy Bob (or whatever his name is) is their 'golden boy' for this season. Ugh! No likey the cowboy shtick. But we'll see.

That was one of two reality shows that I used to watch, mostly because I love listening to Susie Fogelman and Bob Tuschman. I stopped watching, though, about three years ago because the whole process started to feel too fake.

I think they are way too picky on the taste of things. They say things like "it's just a little bit too sweet." It's like they have to pick it apart.

I think they have a preconceived notion who could possibly be having their own show in the future. With costs, they can't afford to go with a wild card.

I've been watching, but I don't have a favorite. It seems like some of these people are duplicates of contestants from the past. IMO, they should've just eliminated all of the bottom 3 contestants this week. I'd rather that they begin with a fewer number of contestants because it's so obvious from the very beginning that a few of them have no business there (not comfortable in front of camera, can't cook a tasty meal, etc.).

The former pageant contestant reminds me of the model Danushka:
