I havent made a cake since... Costco opened :)

I have made brownies before, so I just assumed it was similar. My batter was lumpy; (small lumps) I tried to get them out but couldn't. How will this effect my Rum cake? Hopefully we won't notice Smiley Happy {#emotions_dlg.blushing}
