They are also for most of the preset buttons but don't mean temperature in that case...they mean time.  For example, if you push "beans" twice, you will get a different preset time for beans.  If you push beans three times, you will get another time setting.  You can also push beans once, set your time by using the + or - button, and it will remember that setting the next time you use it.  As another example, I like to cook hard cooked eggs for 6 minutes at low pressure with a 4 minute NR and 15 minute ice bath.  So I selected my egg button, adjusted it for 6 minutes, and then chose low pressure by using the pressure button.  Every time I make boiled eggs, all I have to do is press the egg button and my custom settings are used.

@Ainhisg  Well, that is interesting.  I see I still have a lot to learn with this pressure cooker.
