I know we’re talking about the price of Martha’s peaches BUT, I can’t get over the price of her burgers ... $88.00 for 12 burgers!!!!! ..... to me that is totally redicilious 🙃🤪

@Diva on The Q I love to shop locally for in season produce. Our local Harris Teeter grocery store always has the best white peaches and I so look forward to them every year. Same with red bell pepper and in late wintet temple oranges. All of theses things are truly natures candy to me. I tend to get tomatoes, peas beans and corn at the farmers market.
As fpr Matha , she can keep her peaches at 45 to 50 dollars. I really do not know why anyone would want to purchase at that price.

@Annabellethecat66 wrote:@Nightowlz I've heard a lot of people say they'd put that one on their's. They might be running out of similar letters.
My problem though is that my husband died before me and I had to have him cremated. He's in the WALL at Arlington National Cemetery because he was in the Honor Guard at Ft Myer, Va. So, I guess I'll go there with him.
I don't think they'll let me put that on the wall. Hummm??
@Annabellethecat66 We have our plots at the same place but have not had a Marker set in place. I don't really need my plot now as I think I want to be cremated & thrown to the wind.
After all these funerals I see what all goes on I don't want to be a part of that. Not having a funeral or service or anything.

Friend drove DH to Ft. Valley, Ga. They stopped at Pearson Peach Farm. Cases of Peaches were $25 and just counted the peaches total of 53 large beautiful peaches. Also, surprised me with peach ice cream that was yummy. They packed the container of ice cream in ice and did not charge extra! DH enjoyed the day trip and doing something different. Plus I enjoyed my time at home. Southern Bee
XXX- 2nd case 59 beautiful peaches, some for snacks and plenty to freeze. Southern Bee

i think that they are worth what ever someone is willing to pay for them.
but people are so used to bland food that they are really willing to over pay for something that used to be the norm

Why peaches are so expensive. and may be not very good right now........
Georgia (The Peach State) and South Carolina (which might actually grow more peaches than Georgia does) have in the past, had their crops badly affected by weather. Perhaps other peach-growing areas have had their share of the same weather problem this year.
This is a typical news story from 2017 about what happens with an early Spring freeze.

and then how quickly things can change the next year:
