Re: Hi, my name is Karen and I'm a Lock-n-Lockaholic....

I ordered it in the spearmint late last night, when I thought it was still available.  This morning, it was on advanced order - I got a reprieve.  I went into my pantry and looked at ALL the Lock and Lock that I rarely/never use.  I cancelled my order.  Yet I still feel that I want it.

The thing is, I am not much of a cook and we don't need all those pieces.  Plus, the smallest sizes in each shape are, well, small.  That, PLUS the fact that when I get "sets," I like to keep the sets together somehow.  In other words, I would not one piece in the garage, one in my office, one in my craft room, one in the kitchen, etc.

There, okay, I feel better now.  Glad I was able to cancel and won't feel the, "omg, why did I order these" when they show up in a huge box.

I had a ton of Lock n Lock at one time. I love it.

The other day I asked DD where are all my Lock n Locks. She said probably at her brother's house. I send food home with him and add bring my containers back. Ha. I need to see if he is hoarding them.

@Puppy Lips

It was always Advanced order from the very first presentation.

Don't know if they said it on air, since I don't watch....but it was clearly stated on the item and in my checkout.

The Adv ship date is 9/23...only a couple days....

mine has already gone from Adv Order to In Process.

@RespectLife Thanks - I did not hear or see that it was advanced order.  Glad it was.  I had a chance to rethink my impulse buy, which tends to happen just before bed.  I need to stop that!

Re: Hi, my name is Karen and I'm a Lock-n-Lockaholic....

Add me to the addiction list here.   I have hundreds.  Oh, I use them - ok, all of them are not in constant use but when I need a specific one I know I have it available.

I've even had one particular piece in a given set that I really want more of and sought out more of just that one item.

It's been a great product.  I'm really stract about food storage and everything I store is either in L&L or vacuum sealed.   I've tried other products and they won't prove to be airtight or liquid tight.

I have to say, however, that the ones with the wider o-rings that are ribbed are not necessarily airtight.   I see most of them on glass pieces that I have.

I have, however, gotten better at not buying more.   I have to tell myself that I have more than enough and at this specific point in my life I really cannot just spend on stuff that's not necessary.

I've lost interest in this product, and have started tossing pieces almost every week, with no plans to replace.

I still like several of my older, larger pieces, both round and rectangle, and still have one set of stackables, but like the look of less.

Ha @Puppy Lips

You and me both!

Just cuz I will use it, doesn't mean I Need it!

I think I am gonna gift one of these sets to a Charity basket raffle...if I can get someone with a LOT more talent than me to make one of those pretty wrapped towers they showed!

My name is karen and I need to join the support group. I love this stuff. I got red and clear for gifts. I've given the big bowl using it as a cake keeper with a bundt cake. They have become Lock N lock fans too.

Love the glass the best. It's easy clean.

@vaberry One of my sons is very particular.  He only wants glass, not plastic containers, not that I buy L and L for him anyway.  Lock and Lock DOES stain, no matter what the host or vendor says.

[ Edited ]

I have lock & lock sets that are twenty years old. And they aren't stained. However, never reheat in them.  Maybe the newer ones stain.
