@Carmie     LOL I was using my Cuisinart hand mixer I bought for 40 from HSN back in 2012 while  mashing potatoes while ago and when I pushed up on the speed  selector the speed dial cracked off and fell in the mashed potatoes ! I spooned it out. Hubbo thought he could glue it back onto the piece still on the mixer, but, the super glue got underneath the track of the dial selector and froze it up anyway.

where the piece had broke off left a real sharp brittle edge, so , just pitched it will buy a new one Mon at Bed and Bath.

Not our day is it ?   ROFL

Oster and Hamilton Beach at Walmart has been good for me. Food processor I mean. Go figure !

  I got the pricey SMEG mixer and so far so good  with it and a big Cuisinart stand mixer.

I got a 20 buck off a 50 purchase from Bed and Bath buy another hand mixer there Mon. Already got the handmixer that is suppose to blend butter better forget who made that, but, it's heavy.

Probably buy a cuisinart again. They don't have pretty colors though  LOL
