Extend the freshness of avocados by wrapping them in foil (peels intact), pressing the foil tightly against the skin, and storing them in the vegetable bin in the refrigerator. They easily last a couple of weeks.

Several years ago I went to the Gilroy Garlic Festival (in CA) and tasted many of the samples of foods made with garlic. The most interesting was a Garlic Lemon Sorbet ..... really outstanding! ![]()

Speaking of celery .........
When cooking any of the stronger-smelling vegetables (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower etc) always put a couple stalks of celery in with the vegetables. For some reason, the celery helps reduce the smell by about 50%.
I never found out the reason why it works ... but it works!

@deb5555... I could not be without that funnel, I have owned one for at least 20 years! I use it weekly to fill Mason jars with my homemade salsa and for anything I need to poor liquid into.

I've been there. Loved it. Back when I was last there I don't remember a flavor other than garlic for the ice cream but I am pretty skittish with food so I was too chicken to try that.
