Hi evryone! just found out my son and Daughter in law need a new set of stainless flatware..Was hoping Lenox, which used to be Red and Bsrton (or someone) might present a set SOON, as they deals they have can be really good..
How can I tell what or when a certain item or at least vendor is going to appear..the Guide lacks details...
thanks!

Be aware that when you order flatware from QVC the size of the pieces is much larger than what you would purchase from other places. For that reason I would never order it from QVC.

LOL! that is what I LIKE about it!!! and how heavy weight it is- I have the Reed and Barton Arlington which I bought here about 15 years ago and it still looks like new...

You write that like it's not a good thing.
I purchased flatware from QVC probably 20 years ago, it still looks new, I get compliments on it all the time.
Why do you not like "heavy" flatware? Which BTW can be found anywhere.

That's an excellent question.
What's QVC for the holidays without a special presentation of flatware.
There are so many options online but they keep showing the same old stuff over & over on TV.

Maybe you could page a Q moderator here who could check for you?

I do like heavy flatware. My Reed & Barton is 18/10, and I've had it for at least 30 years. They still sell my pattern. I just don't like the larger flatware and wanted to make sure the OP knew what she would be getting. That's apparently what she wanted, so I'm glad she was aware.

I bought a Reed and Barton set of flatware years and years ago at one of the Q's outlets...they are large...and heavy and like brand new...they have been used daily....
I bought my son and dil a set of Reed and Barton ...from the q..even more years then mine....same thing...large heavy..and beautiful...they have said how much they love the set ...its still hiny like new...and there are five of them that use them daily and even put in a dishwasher....
I have no idea why you would want a puny set from the local store...

I might be wrong, but I think NickNack was referring to the continental size pieces at QVC. Not all heavy flatware is continental size. The fork, knife and soup spoon are longer than they are in the regular size flatware

That's exactly what I meant when I said larger. I love my heavy 18/10 Reed & Barton flatware as I said. I don't like the larger continental size pieces that QVC sells. I don't consider my flatware puny at all. I'm sorry that anyone took offense at what I said. I wish I hadn't posted at all. I thought I was being helpful in case she didn't know.
