I saw the thread about veal and decided to not even open it. I knew I couldn't keep my mouth shut on that issue and also knew that it was none of my business.

Especially if you know it's going to really bother you. I've not read past the first post in some threads. No one's life is going to drastically change over someone else's lifestyle or choices.

For the most part I can strongly disagree with someone in one thread and it has no bearing on the next thread.

You both show much wisdom. You have written the truth. It really is foolishness to try to change everyone's opinion to match yours.

She was a very nice poster and was always so kind and helpful. I told her that I lived vicariously through the dinners she prepared for her guests. The post about veal was an attack on her and the opposing sides would not relent. It was pretty vicious. I posted a thread a month or so ago asking how she was doing and to please post again, but I did not get a response from her. I hope all is well with Adore and also Redman.

I used to read a lot of her threads, though I didn't post on them. I found her to be a very interesting and lively poster. I also liked reading about the meals she cooked.

Pistolino, Adore DID "let it go" and we all miss her wonderful posts because she left. I am really sorry you didn't "see" the "nice" we did all these years on THIS board. You missed a gem. Cece

I don't come to the boards or post much anymore, but I do recall not seeing adore post for awhile.

I don't know why she left, but I respect her choice.

She was always so kind.

After my now ex husband walked out of our twenty year marriage and seven months later my whole family died, she was so supportive.

Single and alone for seven years, I started dating a Greek man.

adore being Greek, had much advice and so many great Greek recipes I copied from her and cooked for my handsome Greek.

I wish she were still on the board so I could tell her my Greek and I got married this past October.

So, I guess the recipes worked!!!!

If you are reading this adore, I wish you love, happiness and peace in your life, and thank you for your words of support and the GREAT recipes!!!

Hi Oneanddone. I read several of your post when you first started dating Mr. Greek! So happy that you really found the right one and are now married. I enjoyed Adore also. She was such a delight, with those wonderful dinners we all attended in our minds. It was fun. Congratulation at finding love again and here's wishing you a lifetime of happiness!

Oneanddone, I am soooo THRILLED that you got married in October! I have often wondered how you are doing. I wrote to you a few times when you started dating again and I offered you some words of encouragement. Thanks so much for the update. So ladies--never give up. It is NEVER too late to find happiness, as Oneanddone and I BOTH know firsthand.

...and had SHE let it go, SHE wouldn't have had such a hard time. I'd never engaged with her before--I certainly didn't see any of this "nice" you all talk about.

Clearly you missed the thread started in viewpoints then because of the thread. AdoreQVC wasn't just attacked on the infamous veal thread. She was attacked on other threads too because of people wanting to tell her she was a horrible person for eating veal. I even got nasty myself on the other viewpoints thread because it wasn't right to jump and stsrt another thread talking about the choices people make. I miss AdoreQVC, and I hope she returns.
