The only candy for our family is See's!! I grew up with it and continue to enjoy it today.

Last year I did not order them from the Q b/c I wanted to have a change but I did the two previous years. I though that they were good and a good value. I liked that each piece was wrapped individually so that I could use the candy in gift bags. Chocolate is my favorite thing so I know great chocolate. Harry London is good chocolate and a good value. If you price six pounds of great premium chocolate be prepared to pay 3x the amount. My understanding is that the first shipment is not scheduled until November so by then it should be cooler.

I bought a six pound tin of HL chocolates to take to work to share with my co-workers.

The chocolates did not last long!

Was Yuban, then changed to Plaid Pants due to forum upgrade, and apparently, I'm back to being Yuban.

Just as I thought! HL chocolates are good as a business gift but you will probably want to get something better for a personal gift.

If you are a fan of drug store chocolates (Whitman or Russell Stover) you will like them.

I buy a tin every year. I laugh when I read posters say that they prefer Godiva, See's, etc. Of course they do, because those chocolates are considered high-end brands; HL is a mid-range brand, IMO. I think they're really good and I like the fact that they're individually wrapped which is convenient for gift-giving and throwing a few in your lunch bag. I've already ordered my tin to be delivered 12/8. Once the holidays are over, I bring a few to work each day and they last until February, then it's time to buy Valentine candy.

This was interesting to follow, after my response.

I do agree, they're not considered the top-of-the-line or gourmet chocolates. Even so, it's clear the opinions are varied, just as the OP noticed the reviews were mixed. The customer service rep told me they had a large number of complaints, and I'm thinking their quality control is uneven. As I said before, we liked the product years ago but the last tin of chocolates was a dud, really unacceptable and a surprising disappointment.

I bought the Harry London tin one year as a gift (at least 3-4 years ago) and it was pretty good, but I got another brand from HSN one year (not Waggoner's -- I don't remember who) that I thought was also good. Although with See's here, that's pretty popular for gifts and I think their chocolate is better when you want one or two pounds.
