I don't know if that's true or it's just completely a matter of taste, but I didn't order them until they were on QVC. I wish I hadn't.
OTOH, the other brand that I guess is somewhat related and is now sold on SHQ is pretty good. I want to say Waggoner's or something like that. HUGE difference. I wanted more of those.
I'm surprised any of the shopping networks are selling this sort of thing at this time of year, though. Chocolates don't fare well during shipping in the summer unless you are ordering from a place that will put them in dry ice or some sort of special packing for shipping.
Allison Waggoner, the grand daughter, use to sell Harry London on HSN.

Yeah, now she's an actual show host over at SHQ. I find her rather pleasant. I don't know why there is such a massive difference between the Waggoner product and the London product, ,but it's like night and day. I really enjoyed the Waggoner ones a lot.
They also have more variety and more of it is really nice - not so much of the choc covered pretzel bits stuff like in the London varieties.

Taste better than Whitman's. I think they are on par with Russell Stover or any other mass producer of chocolates. I am not a fan of the selection they provide for QVC, but I don't think they are as bad as what the other posters have claimed! They certainly are not as good as small batch chocolates, but then again, you aren't paying for that, are you?

I think her brother runs Waggoners, and Harry London was bought by some bigger company.

I've been buying the tins for several years now, but won't be buying more. The candy is fine, not the best chocolate I've ever tasted, but not bad. My last autodelivery was cancelled, and I'll use that as my cue to skip those huge tubs of candy in the future. Truth be told, the mix of pieces isn't always even and that's a problem as some of the selections are better than others. I do love their caramels, but the mixed cans don't always include them... I'll stick with smaller boxes of chocolates and selections that offer more of a mixture of pieces I'll enjoy.

I have ordered HLC for the past few years now and my family enjoys them each year. I think the chocolates are very very good and I live in an area where gourmet choc is 20 mins or less away in every direction. I like the variety and my son loves chocolate. I like having this tin around for quick satisfaction during the hectic holidays. The lava cake is delicious and he salty pretxel are particulary good. Great value and great product.

Harry London has too many mixed reviews, afraid it would be a waste of time and money. Godiva is divine...a lil costly, but worth it. Russell Stover never disappoints...always a winner

Buying ""fine"" chocolates on TV can be dicey. I have never been happy with the product. I go to Godiva's website after major holidays and buy chocolate on ""clearance"". I did this right after Easter and got their $25.00 chocolate Easter bunny for $5.00. It was delicious!

Thank you so much for the replies. I have a better understanding of what I would be getting if I ordered it.
Just an FYI- Whitmans got bought out by Russell Stovers over ten years ago. I do think each have changed over the years, but I love their chocolate covered caramels.
At Easter I order See's, but live on the east coast so after shipping it becomes very expensive.
Thanks again.
