Thank you so much for starting this thread. I saw his presentation twice and was actually thinking about ordering them. I love chocolate and all the flavors looked really good. But I am picky about my chocolate. If you all say they taste bad, then I am no longer tempted. I don't need the extra calories anyway!

Ordered these once years ago, but the assortment wasn't great: Too many of the coffee-flavored chocolates.
Another time, bought a small box of Harry London from kohls, and they were excellent: Tasted like expensive chocolate.

Hi ....ordered these chocolates a couple of years ago and by far the worst tasting chocolates
I have ever sampled....they are flat tasting, waxy and taste very stail....although when the
man demo's them they look moist and delicious....I would not be impressed by these
chocolates and they sell volumes by the pailfull....save your money and PASS....the drug
store chocolates (Whitman's) are much better....just my opion and I am a chocolate maven..
love Godiva's.....I bought them and ended up giving them away...don't make the mistake I
made....larry

We ordered the Harry London chocolates just before Christmas 2012 (the 6 lb. tin). I'd tried them a couple of years ago, and they were really quite good. The large tin really isn't a bad idea, especially at the holidays, since each piece is individually wrapped.
This one was a true disappointment, however. They tasted stale, old, and waxy, like really cheap chocolates that have been around for 'way too long. I called customer service, and the rep said there were countless complaints just like mine. She said she had no idea what the Q was going to do about the problem.
I'm glad some folks were happy with their purchase. That makes me wonder if the quality is extremely inconsistent? Or perhaps they business changed hands? I rarely return anything, but this was baaaaaaad.

The Waggoner on ShopQ are so much better than Harry London. I get them every Christmas. Love their giant marshmallows, too!

I had always wanted to try these chocolates but wondered what I would do with 6 lbs. of it, especially if I didn't like it. But if I did like it I didn't need that much of it laying around the house either. Last year or the year before I happened to see the brand at Kohls at Christmas, had a $10 Kohls cash certificate, and thought it wouldn't be too much of a waste of money if I didn't care for it. So glad that's how I went about trying Harry London. It is something I will not buy again. Don't waste your money. The box I bought had pictures of some of their chocolates, and I believe the name of each piece was listed by the picture, yet there was a statement about not every piece shown being in the box. What's up with that? I'm sorry I cannot compare them to Whitman's since it's been a very long time since I have had that brand. Now of course, you have me thinking of trying Whitman's again.
I don't know where you live but there is an EXCELLENT chocolate shop not far from me. They are closed starting Mothers Day and reopen in the fall. They close because there aren't any holidays in the summer, except Fathers Day, and they don't sell much chocolate in the summer. They have been in business for something like 90 years or so. I do believe they ship candy. If interested I can pass along a phone number and you can call them I September. Their chocolate covered pecans are to die for!

I ordered the large circle box and the container is NICE, but honestly, the chocolate was OKAY at best, M&Ms taste just as good. Also, the main attraction to me was that the items were individually wrapped which is nice for my husband to take with his lunch.
Also, they claim the large container has all these flavors but mine was 80% of the white pretzel and chocolate pretzel. What I Found that was better was the individual containers of four different flavors. That way you are ASSURED...to get an equal amount of four different flavors.
What I did was keep the large xmas container and put individually wrapped store candy and my husband takes those for lunch. I probably won't purchase again.

I received some as part of a gift a couple of yrs ago and didn't think they were that special. I have to agree, 6 lbs is way too much to buy, especially if you have never tried it.
Give me a Hersey or Dove chocolate bar any day.

Oh man, I love the giant marshmallow ones especially the milk chocolate ones.
With the HL ones, and particularly such a huge amount, the reason I got them that time was that I always made these nice parcels of goodies for the husband's office and several of our neighbors. Well, it got to the point that it was more and more difficult for me to make all that stuff so I thought - what if I make fewer of my things and put in some nice premium, individually-wrapped, chocolates to make it nice?
So, I ordered the HL stuff late one year with the plan to use a lot of it for that. Of course, I felt it was my responsibility to try one of each variety. It took a few days, of course, because I'm not going to pound a massive quantity of candy, but I tried one of each. It just got worse and worse, and there was no way I was going to put any of that in my goodie parcels. I just panned the whole idea and tossed the majority of it.

My local Von's store had some Harry London chocolates in a small box last year (located by the fresh flowers) so I had to try them. Now, I'm a real chocolate snob - and I thought they were pretty good. They didn't obviously compare to Ethel M's or Godiva but they were tasty. They definitely beat Whittman's which I wouldn't eat for free but maybe I just got lucky. I just have never been tempted to get the ones on QVC because I usually only eat dark chocolate and also I just don't need six pounds of sugar.
