Here is a great tasting smoothie:

one banana

one cup Greek Vanilla Dannon yogurt

one half bag frozen blueberries (12 oz. bag)

one small can Dole Pineapple juice

two handfulls of Kale (stalks and leaves)

this makes about two 8 oz glasses and I drink all of it. Seriously, this is so delicious its like drinking a milkshake.

I throw everything in! Kale, spinach, carrots, all kinds of fruit, non-fat greek yogurt, I grind in some flax seeds, sometimes ginger, organic honey and for the liquid I use non-sweetened plain almond milk - delicious!!!!

Sorry but I just can't choke down a green smoothie. For those that I do make, I've never used a "recipe" and think most people don't. I use whatever I have on hand, usually starting with a frozen banana, scoop of protein powder, about 1/2 cup plain yogurt, a little almond milk and whatever fruit I have (frozen). I add a little ice as I like them really thick.

Here's one I make a few times/week. I got a copy of this after tasting a great green smoothie at a Whole Foods demo:

-Orange, whole, peeled, but with pith intact

-Pineapple, thick slice, use core (no peel)

-1/3 banana, peeled

-Spinach or Kale, big handful

-sliver of lime with zest

-oz. of Agave.

-1 cup ice to chill

Load Vitamix with all ingredients. Blend on high for 45-60 seconds, or until smooth. Use the tamper if needed.
