We have been getting Reiser's potato dishes in the meat section.  From the red potatoes done with garlic to scalloped potatoes with cheese, they save a load of time and work!

We have tried many of these and they rock!!!

Re: Great Addition To A Meal

Anything that saves me time and work in the kitchen catches my interest.  These potato dishes look good and when I am at the supermarket I will look for them!  Thanks for the food tip!

I have tried the scalloped potatoes, they are delicious! Have found 2.5 lbs containers at Costco and Sam's for about $7.

Yes!  I have tried the scalloped potatoes, sometimes I place left over fried chicken in a casserole dish and cover it with the scalloped potatoes and bake until it's done, simple and easy..

How much sodium do they have--thats one reason I don't buy things like this--way too much salt.

Here, we have a store that was started by a local man and grew into SC.  I shop there because they are the largest around, have the best prices, and give gas discounts.  They also have gas pumps.

Re: Great Addition To A Meal

Reser's orignated in Oregon and in fact one of the college football stadiums carry the Reser's name. Reser's has various levels of quality ... from very inexpensive to more custom recipes. They sell out here on the west coast in most stores and a lot of the large chain stores use Reser's to copack their house brands. The product they sell in the meat departments do tend to have a bit more sodium in the products ... this helps w/ extending the shelf life on the products. A few years back Reser's started going to more "clean" products and reduced or eliminated the preservatives they added to extend the shelf life on their salads and sides. (A close friend was an exec at Reser's ... which is how I come to know about the company).

On west coast most potato and mac salads are made w/ mayo vs salad dressing that is prevalent in the midwest and east coast. Reser's has plants across the country, so they may use salad dressing for some of the salads outside of west coast. Salad dressing (Miracle Whip) is NOT something I enjoy. The first time someone made me a sandwich w/ Miracle Whip I about spit it out of my mouth. (I was 16 and silly).

We do not use a lot of prepackaged products, but I have had many of the items and some are quite tasty. I'm a sucker for potatoes and pasta w/ cheese so I would probably eat the entire package all by myself---left to my own devices.

@catter70  I googled the product and the stores in my area came up. My local Shop Rite and Wegmans.
