Yeah but....are the steaks you see from.....gasp....."Special Cows"?

I love when the Rastelli guy rattles on about the grass and the fresh water and the black angus cattle gamboling in the fog shrouded fields......when we KNOW they are headed for the captive- bolt-gun and the butcher knife....along with the  TENS OF THOUSANDS of other cattle that are butchered for meat each day in the US....

"Special cows".

Right. If they were really "special"...they woudln't end up in 4 oz frozen individual packages in your freezer.....!!!

PS: Walmart AND Aldi sell Black Angus cuts every day....and they are very good and cost a fraction of the price. Of course you DO have to cut them in half to achieve the tiny portions Rastelli pushes, but you can buy some Zakarian knives on Q to do that if you don't have a knife at home already!!!

Re: Gourmet Holiday show

I haven't watched live presentations of QVC for quite a while and didn't realize how bad they have become.

Today I was busy taking care of my house plants and had QVC on in the kitchen while I worked.  When I turned it on it was the gourmet holiday show with Alberti and Rachael.  My goodness those two together were unbelievably annoying.  I had my back turned and heard this moaning sound and when I turned around I saw it was Alberti carrying on about some food product he was eating.  You would have thought that it was the greatest thing in the world.

I know the prices are very high for most of this food and I don't really have a problem with that because I know for many people the convenience outweighs the cost.  What I found so annoying was their claim that each and every item was the very best you could ever buy.  One item in particular made me laugh when the rep stated it was made with pure New York water.  Now I don't know what is so special about NY water compared to water from any other state.  I guess it's like that line of beer that is made with water from the Colorado Rockies.

I'm sure many of these products are good but to hear them and the reps go on you would think nothing else could ever compare to their products.

I have bought food items from QVC in the past and while they were very tasty, I've found the same quality in foods purchased from my local stores.  The New York bagels looked very good but I think the plain bagels that I purchase from the line of bread products from Dave's breads are just as good and certainly not as expensive.

I'm not going to say that I will never purchase food items from QVC but I won't buy into their sales spiel of how every product is the best that the host has ever tasted.

I agree with you. He comes off as a nutritionist now and he is not. Losing weight doesn't give you the right to judge how others still eat. Others that are eating things he's pushed for 930yrs as he so often says.

Last Sunday on a Jennifer Covich presentation he fought off a yawn 🥱 🤣 As soon as the camera guy noticed the camera went to her. I know he had to get a drink or something bc he came back after that ramped up. He went to the counter, sat down & made the face we've all made stopping a yawn in its tracks 🤣🤣🤣

Right next to the money trees growing in everyone's back yard!

Being straight with someone is the way to operate even when it comes to selling a product. If your product is good, say it. If it is expensive, say it is worth the price. Coming across as an 80's informercial pitchman isn't how to do it, IMO.
