OK, I have tried to be kind and quiet.  I really want to watch Rick and Mary.  But everytime Rick presents something he chatters on and on and when he asks the vendor to explain their product he interupts them in the middle of the explaination.  I am trying to be patient.  I keep yelling out loud for him to shut up. He does this all the time and I will not mute or turn it off.  I deserve the right to listen in peace.  OK I've vented now.

Actually I think there has been a mandate for all the hosts to do this, even more now than. ever.

I watched David in today's ITKWD and he was off the charts interrupting all of the guests. He was nearly manic with it.  You could catch some of the guests nearly losing their place in what they were going to say because David constantly interrupted.

The hosts are apparently doing what they're being told to do -- taking absolute control of the selling.

You know, that's a shame because it puts me off in buying.  At least I can watch Kathy at 9:00pm on Q2 and make up for all the stupidity.

@luvmybeetle   I wonder if the producer is in their ear saying "take control, interrupt, sell, sell, sell".  The pressure must be enormous.

@luvmybeetle  Rick is definitely and acquired taste. I like him a lot - especially with Valerie. He is always very knowledgeable about his products. He asks great questions and gives good prompts. I come from a family of super hyper people, so I get him. That being said, there were a few minutes this afternoon when I thought he was having a stroke. At any rate, I prefer him to people who seem like they are just going through the motions.

I agree about Rick interrupting the vendors and also cutting off people who call in, so rude.  He is a fast talker and when on to host, I rarely watch.  The only time I watch him for any length of time is when he is on with Valerie.  I enjoy her shows and she seems to handle his hosting.

I also agree about David lately.  He constantly interrupts he vendors, today he was very annoying.  If the producer is pushing this rude behavior he or she isn't helping sales .  David used to allow the vendors to talk about the product but he has changed as a host.

Always liked Rick. Never watched a whole food/ kitchen show. I saw a few minutes last week of Rachel pulling pork off the bone with bbq sauce all over her fingers and eating. Hurl! Had to flip the channel.
