George Foreman Digital Roaster w pan

Carolyn is doing the show and eating delicious mac and cheese.  Anyone buy this?

Carolyn does such a good job with all her presentations.

David ALMOST talked me into it earlier this month, but I already have a Ninja 3 (or 4?)-in-1 and it's an unnecessary expense at this point.

I'm thinking of buying this for my husband for Christmas. He loves to cook, thankfully. I didn't see the full presentation and am wondering what is the difference between this and a slow cooker. I'll check on the product description later and possibly order it.

Re: George Foreman Digital Roaster w pan

I have it and used it just this morning and will again tomorrow.

So far, I like it very much.  I made a half of a turkey breast in it and it is moist and completely cooked through to the bone.  I threw in some veggies to go along with it and they came out nice and caramelized.

The only thing I want to remind people is that only the meat that is actually touching the roaster gets browned so you may need to move it around a bit but please know it is thoroughly cooked through and you can make gravy from the drippings if you like.

Tomorrow, I am making the mac and cheese that Caroline was eating and will come back tomorrow with my results.

@momtochloe, I finally got mine yesterday, haven't used it yet, have company coming tomorrow and Friday, but will try it as soon as I can!

The hardest thing I found with it, was the top is attached, not removable, and I had a hard time finding a cabinet deep enough to put it in, LOL!

Good heavens it took that long for you to finally receive it?  Well thank goodness you finally have it and I hope you like it as much as I do.  The final test will be the mac and cheese, if I like that, then it's a keeper!

Re: George Foreman Digital Roaster w pan

Ok, I have decided this is a keeper!

I always have to adjust recipes because I cook for one so I needed to cook the m&c recipe for a bit longer but it is delicious!

The only (and I mean only) thing that still nags at me a bit is the pan insert is a tad lightweight but if it and the non-stick coating holds up it all works for me.

Glad I bought it and would recommend it!
