Do you peel the skin or eat it?  My husband cannot touch the peach skin.  It's like chalk on the board to him. LOL.  I found if you rub/wash a nice RIPE peach under hot water,  the skin will peel much easier most of the time.  I however rub off the fuzz and eat the skin.

Feed him nectarines instead

He likes peaches better.  So do I.  There is a definite difference in the taste and texture.

If I'm cooking with them, I peel them using the method mentioned above. If I'm eating them fresh or while I'm in the orchard picking them, I eat the skin.

I eat the skin.  No problem.  Fresh peaches are delicious.

no to the peach skin!  i do love peaches. I usually eat apple peels/skin though if the apples are fresh. I wash them with a tiny drop of dish soap first and rinse thoroughly and dry. Maybe thats a bad idea?

I had to skip this summer peaches from Colorado and green tomatoes from the Farmers Market.

Got a case of C. Diff and believe me that's something you don't ever want. WHEW.gifMost people have to go to the hospital. I'm strong and in good shape even though I'm 'old'. LOL

Sure missed 'real' peaches and fried green tomatoes.
