Do you peel the skin or eat it?  My husband cannot touch the peach skin.  It's like chalk on the board to him. LOL.  I found if you rub/wash a nice RIPE peach under hot water,  the skin will peel much easier most of the time.  I however rub off the fuzz and eat the skin.

@bargainsgirl.  Dip your peaches in boiling water, then cool water and the skins slip right off.

I miss having fresh peaches.  I could go for a peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream right now.

I will eat and slurp any whole fantastic fresh summer peach. Well, yes to the skin and no to the pit... cold, warm, canned, cooked, raw. I love peaches. Love apricots, too.

Those who do not like the peach skin should eat nectarines. They are actually fuzz-less peaches. Nectarines are peaches with a genetic difference that prevents fuzz on tne skin. In all ways they are scientifically peaches, and a smooth skinned type.

Yummy!

My Mom always took the skin or peel off of much of the fruit we ate. Because she said if might have pesticides and washing the fruit, you can not tell how good of a job you did in removing it.

So I always peel my peaches or apples. Just used to removing the peel by now.

I get HIVES from fresh peaches.     (I CAN eat canned, tho.)

I eat the skin from peaches and any other edible fruit skin.  It's the best part.
