Foodsaver/Freshsaver Question

I just got mine yesterday and it's currently charging. I was wondering for those of you that have had this awhile, what are some of the things you use it for that might not have been shown int he presentation? I know you can use it for coldcuts and things like that, as they showed that when they presented it; however, what are some of the uses that you have found for it that might not have been suggested?
