I for one am tired of the food show format where a host is drooling over the latest food offering. I realize the food needs to be tasted so why not invite a few people on stage, sit them down at a counter overlooking the presentation where the host hands them a try-me taste of the item being sold? This is done on other food shows and comes off a lot better than a host trying to eat and sell. I still want the host to try the food but they need a break from talking and having some guests could solve that issue.

I see very little difference - I've seen food shows that do that, but not shows selling abything but recipes - and then they're not really selling, just playing with them.

I like the kitchen and food shows -

better than lots of the shows featuring jewelry and fashions I'd never buy. I've figured out how not to watch those though. so it's okay. I can't imagine any reason QVC would stop showing Linea or Ripka or Bixby or Lori. That would be stupid to do just to please me.

The constant pinching, squeezing and breaking the food into pieces drives me crazy.

...and that's NOT a long drive.

I could probably walk it.

They probably don't do that because these aren't food shows. They are marketing shows designed to sell the product. You can't do that if some independent tasters don't like the taste, color, texture, calories etc. And, if they aren't independent, it would just be more gimmicky than it already is.

All those long shots on the yummy faces definitely need to stop. Courtney will take a bite and then showcase a blank stare wide-eyed straight ahead with a long pause then let out a sigh. Sharon has a seductive expression while David has his yum yum face and happy dance. They don't do those long close ups on Food Network when somebody takes a bite. I agree with radimage about the crumbling of the food. I wonder how many apples that rep from Mrs. Prindables breaks up in a day.

I'm pretty much done with these shows---every one has the very same stuff over and over. I, too, am tired of the corny faces from tasting the food, especially Sharon who looks like she is having the "O" moment everytime she puts food in her mouth!!! Gross!!!

I think the only part I like is when new cookbooks are featured.

I am waiting for the host to take the bite, spit it out, and tell us how bad it tasted. I would pay to see that happen. Please, just once!

That would be the last time that host was an employee.

I wish they would let some of the ladies host more often. Mary Beth is great, Jane, and Carolyn, or let Rick host more. I simply can't watch screaming David any more. I used to like him. I used to enjoy the shows but they are so stale now and the shouting and repeating of same phrases, jokes and such simply makes them unwatchable for me.
