If anyone is thinking of getting a food saver they are wonderful we bought our first one over a month ago and that is the best thing I could of ever bought for our kitchen.

Last Friday night we had tacos I had all this chopped up lettuce left lettuce does not last long once you cut it up I put it in a food saver bag with a paper towel on the bottom and a paper towel on the top lettuce was damp from washing and sealed it up we had tacos last night Tuesday and the lettuce was so pretty & green and crisp I didn't think the food saver would keep lettuce but it did I highly recommended a food saver.

Debbie's Green Bags work just as well - lettuce is still good after a week. I use food saver bags for freezing only. Either one will work well for fresh veggies.

I bought a small Food Saver from Target and I love it. Had one years ago and when it broke I ordered another and never used it as it was too large to store, etc. This one works great for my uses. QVC has the same one, but got free shipping from Target.

Thanks. I was wondering how well these worked. HSN has a 50 count with 3 size bags on sale for $14.95 + shipping regular $24.95.

I also have a food saver & love it. I use it mostly for freezer items. Works well for bacon too. We have bacon once a week on Sat or Sun so it lasts better when I vacuum seal it.
