How did Corky's Meals get the best meat award when the one-star and five-stars are the same?  2.7 overall.  So much for the integrity of the awards...

@DaleP @I was just thinking the exact same thing. I gues it is based on who votes in the contest not the reviewers who purchased the food.

Yes, that's exactly right—the winners are determined by the votes that were cast, as is the case with most awards shows.

@DaleP     What were the reviews of the competition and how many votes were there for each?   It does seem strange, but for lots of winning products by all the companies, it's a popularity contest with no guarantee that there's much meaning of excellence.

I seldom watch the food shows for more than 30 seconds, I've ordered only twice in the last 3 years.  Both times my order was for bagels.  Liked them enough to order a second time and might order again if my freezer has space when they're presented!   I've never checked to see if they appear in that food contest-  I "vote" with my money!

I bought these dinners some time ago.  While they are tasty, there's barely enough food in each to satisfy a dainty appetite, let alone a really hungry person.  I wouldn't buy them again.

@wagirl

You got it......self awarded to the biggest vendors,some of whom have consistently mediocre  reviews on thier offerings...

Like I said before....it's like in kindergarten, when you got a gold star the first time you found the rest room without a hall monitor's help..!!!

Only difference is everyone else got a star too!!!

O well.....we got meat squeezie, fish squeezie, dough rolling into damp balls, pulling apart of moist cookies and paroxyms of joy over bread slices.... and I'm sure there'll be Happy Dance twirling later on in the ITKWD hours...

Why I wouldn't be surprised if some presenter didn't absolutely faint with excitement over the day's winners!!!

O yum.

When I saw who the hosts were, I decided not to watch.   I will look for the award list later and look at the offers to see if any of the deals were good enough.
