Paula

Congrats..you will LOVE it!

I've had one for a few years ..(Wolfgang Puck) I realized today that we haven't used it in weeks..so I fired it up today.

Made this easy favorite

Put alittle EVO in the bottom of the pot and whatever seasonings you like. Throw in a few frozen boneless chicken breasts, 2 bags of frozen veggie combos, about 1/2 pound of whatever pasta you like (pick hardy sized pasta, it will retain it's shape a texture better), a jar of spag sauce ( Bertolli 4 cheese Rosa..favorite), refill the now empty spag sauce jar with either water or chicken broth..3 times and add to pot. Top with grated cheese or whatever you like ,slap that lid on and set for 15-20 on meat setting.......Go do something else and dinner will be ready when you are.

I'm sure that Emeril has some GREAT recipes in the book that comes with the PC

Good luck and enjoy!!

I love the idea of the brown and sauté feature! The idea you just gave me is the exact reason why I purchased. Home cooked dinners fast especially for busy weeknights getting home at ""dinner time"". I cannot see any other way to eat home cooked meals instead of fast food except for a pressure cooker. One person can no longer stay home and prepare meals. Thank you so much for you recipe and suggestion!

Happy to help!

The 20 minute timer on my WP starts to count-down after the pressure is reached in the pot..app 10 minutes. This works out great!..You'll have just enough time to set the table and make a salad.. and take the dog out!

Once you find recipes you like and realize that this tasty food was so quick and easy..you will wonder how you managed without it!

This TSV was a great deal, too. I have seen this PC selling for more $ in several places.

...be sure to buy a Bob Warden pressure cookbook: I have a lot of pressure cooker books and both of his are THE best! Not only does he have great recipes that use ingredients you can buy anywhere, but he has included some easy to understand tables for the digital cookers (as opposed to the stove-top versions that get really specific about psi-but don't worry-you can indeed use those for your electric cooker: Bob just makes it easy!)

...pot roast is always a winner.....so good....

I made Bob's recipe for Chicken Cacciatore first...it won RAVES from my Italian uncle!

BBQ ribs and Chicken in a Pot are great for wintertime too!

Congrats - you will LOVE your new toy!!!

I have Bob's cookbook also and so far love it! I made a beef soup/stew with dumpling recipe last night and the family loved it! Even though the dumpling part came out a little weird....receipt just had me put the rolled up pre-made biscuit dough on top of the soup after it cooked and let it ""steam"" for 10 minutes. The biscuit was very ""doughy"" and didn't cook all the way. Too bad though - it would have been great if it did! Next time I make this I'll cook the biscuits in the traditional way instead. I also made a killer chicken picatta recipe that came with my pressure cooker - so easy and so delicious! And I really don't cook well at all! The pressure cooker is like magic I tell ya!

In the winter I use mine mostly for stews and soups. My mom always uses one and even though I was scared in the beginning, the pressure cooker makes it so I can still make a delicious dinner even if I've forgotten to take meat out of the freezer to defrost!

Yes please buy both of Bob Wardens pressure cooker books. They are the best!!! Last night I made a cream veggie soup using leftovers like mashed spuds, butternut squash, broccoli and cauliflower and carrots. I sauteed onions and garlic for a few minutes, added my leftovers and 4 cups of veg broth. Put it on high for 5 minutes, quick release . I pureed it with my immersion blender , added evap milk and some extra seasonings and voila!!! Delicious soup!! I could have added cheddar cheese to it but decided to let my fam do that if they wanted. I cleared out my refer and had a wonderful fresh soup for lunch!! You will LOVE your pressure cooker!!!
