OH man are they good!!!   Two racks of baby backs from  the smoker, a fresh jar of Head Country, and just stand over the sink and eat 'em!

We still have a pork butt on, but I don't think it will beat the ribs!  Maybe?  Nah!!!!!Woman LOLWoman Tongue

What's cooking at your house this weekend?

Re: First Smoked Ribs of 2024!

I'm cooking St. Louis spareribs on Monday.  Just a dry rub on mine.

Re: First Smoked Ribs of 2024!

I no longer eat meat, but I remember the intoxicating smell and taste of a DELICIOUS piece of smoked pork or beef ANYTHING!😋 Waiting for them to be done was the hardest part!😁

I ❤ smoked salmon or trout whenever we grill! Tonight's dinner will be apricot and sweet chili glazed salmon, green beans and squash. I am also thinking of baking a pan of sticky buns for dessert this evening courtesy of a recipe posted in the Quick Potsticker Soup thread, and HOPE they turn out ok!🤞🤞

I sheepishly admit to never having heard of Head Country. Happy cooking!🥰

@SandySparkles That really sounds good!  We eat a lot of salmon and that sounds like a good way to cook it!

Head Country is a sauce made in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and it is more old school and not as sweet as most sauces are now days.  I am crazy for it!

@Sooner  What the heck is a jar of Head Country? Is that BBQ sauce?

I think we are making reubens this weekend. Not sure what else.

@SaveTheTurtles @SandySparkles I just looked it up and Amazon carries it, Walmart too and they probably ship as well.  We are Original flavor users.  It is sweet, but not nearly as sweet as most sauces now, a little thinner, and to us is perfect for barbecue!

We just finished ribs.  DH puts them in a low oven then finishes on the grill with sauce.

@ECBG We moved from a wood-fired smoker to an electric smoke when we retired.  It is windy in Oklahoma and a wood-fired smoker takes a lot of attention.  But they really do make super smoked meats if you control the fire well and have the right kind of wood!  Woman LOL
