Re: Favorite pasta ๐Ÿ

I love pasta but don't eat it very often for dietary issues....not wanting to regain all the weight I have lost.  It can be a real trigger food for me.

I love all brands, and shapes for the most part.  The one pasta I will not eat or ever cook is angel hair pasta.  I like my pasta to have some heft to it and angel hair pasta is too whimpy for me.

Re: Favorite pasta ๐Ÿ

We mostly use the Barilla Protein + due to diabetes.  Have also tried a brand of chickpea pasta but can't remember the name.

The Barilla was recommended by my BF's diabetes educator and there is a huge difference glucose-wise from eating regular pasta.  I just wish they would make lagsana noodles.

I've tried both expensive and on-sale brands of pasta and cannot tell the difference.  My vote goes to whatever brand is on sale.

@Pooky1 .  That is exactly what I do.  I like Penne and Linquine

I haven't eaten even a bite of pasta in over six years.  In the old days, I usually bought Creamettes or Barilla.

I buy whatever is on sale as it all tastes the same to me.  However, I only cook up what I'm going to use immediately as I think it loses its flavor and texture when reheated.

Re: Favorite pasta ๐Ÿ

I love pasta, and Barilla is what I usually get, either linguine or thin spaghetti. I also like their "protein +" line for 10 grams  of protein per 2-oz serving. There's absutely no change in taste or texture, either, but I can only find that in angel hair and regular spaghetti (and assorted shapes) in this area.
