@Nightowlz. I am a proud Baby Boomer, so I don't give up very easily . . . I'd still be working those pliers!

Maybe not so much a gadget, as they are s&p shakers. But I've never filled them and they just sit at the back of my black stove. I just moved them to a cutting board for a slightly better pic. I love them so much!
BTW, they are not giant. They are quite small. That's just one of my one quart LC pots behind them.
These guys would bring cheer to any room. Adorable, @chickenbutt

@Drythe: I love it, too. What was this cheery tomato's original purpose and what do you use it for now? Kitty and doggo treats? A centerpiece?

Well DH had to use the channel lock pliers. I can't use those because I need 2 hands just to hold on to them they are so big. LOL!!! Regular pliers did not work.
I got mad a cut a hole in it with a knife. LOL!!!
DH thought I was complaining I could not get the safety seal off??? NOT!!! I could have cut that off.

It is a heavy duty baker / roster, think like Calphalon.
Made by Staub.
Never used for cooking, just a centerpiece. I jut in love with it, they have other veggies and fruits. I gave a great friend a Habanero pepper one for Christmas.
Jus’ a ‘mater san’wich with mayo!
Best to you!

@Nightowlz One of my favorite gadgets for "besting" the caps that won't budge is a metal lobster cracker; it grips and twists well as it hangs on for dear life and has three different size openings in its handle. I have wrested--safely--many a stubborn top, cap, or even a wine cork that hasn't emerged all the way with this gizmo.
And, of course, it still works on lobsters, one of my favorite foods!
It is one of my favorite "tool" toys.

This isn't cute but it is a new favorite, I could call it "modern art" LOL. It's a nifty kiwi cutter, so easy to add kiwi for snacks, salads, or however you like without having to peel it.

I don't know how I could have forgotten one of my very favorite kitchen gadget type things. As I fixed breakfast for the birdies outside and the house bird, I looked across at this -
It's called 'Dishwasher Alert' and I believe it also comes in white, but my appliances are black so that's what I use. It has adhesive on the back to stick to the dishwasher. When you turn on the dishwasher just slide it over to 'clean' and when you empty, slide it over to 'dirty'.
I actually bought several, as I've given away a few to people who liked mine. Mine has been on there for over 15 years and still stuck without issue.

My all-around best, favorite, and most used item in the kitchen is a little one inch wide spatula I picked up at Goodwill for a dime.
Unlike the one in the picture, mine's very well worn.
The flexy blade is 4" long and the handle about the same.
This thing scrapes, spreads, scoops, flips, mashes, etc, and in a pinch can be used sideways as a knife to cut or chop.
Wish I had a dozen of these.

The jar opener is really nice to have. My son's girlfriend gave me one about 7 years ago and my son had a fit , I caught him mouthing " Why did you give her that" And tried a few times to get it back by saying "Mom wouln't you rather have a Large can of prepopped Popcorn. Like I's a goofball, a can of pop corn is like$ 4.00 a can. And the second time he said I didn't want you to feel like you were to old to open a jar. What a line of garbage. It made me love it even more. And he also said you probably don't even use it. I wanted that most that year. So Whoo Hoo !!! He never gavve me anything that wasn't junk.
