Re: English or regular cucumbers

Either are fine!  I tend to buy the English more as that's what the recipe calls for in my cucumber & onion salad and I like them a little more if I'm making veggies and dip.

English

Crispier, less seeds if any, less burping!  They are the only ones we grow (or buy in the winter)

Re: English or regular cucumbers

My grocery only carries Regular Cucumbers or Greenhouse Grown ones, but they have a sticker on them saying grown in the USA.  So, I've never seen English ones or Persian ones. You have to grow your own pickling ones I guess.

@Icegoddess

English only refers to the long, less seed style.

English Cucumbers | Lipman Family Farms

  They are not 'from' England.

Wegman's carries them all year long and locally grown in the summer.

Same with the Persian

@RespectLife Don't think I've seen those at my Publix.  It's either the regular cucumbers or the greenhouse ones which come shrinkwrapped in plastic.  They're long and skinny.  I tried them once and didn't like them.
