@Lilysmom1

I have been using the Hamilton Beach for years.  Someone posted a picture here with a medley of can sizes.

When I make my really huge batch of marinara sauce several times a year, I use the largest cans of Cento San Marzano plum tomatoes.  Guessing now that it's 128 ounces / can and I will use 5 or 6 of that size can.  No problem for the mighty might can opener !!!

If you look carefully on the left side, there are the cans and the HamiltonBeach opener is sitting atop one.

I received one as a gift.   The first time I used it, the thing "malfunctioned"...wouldn't turn off, and circled the can until there was nothing left but a BIG MESS.

Maybe I didn't follow the directions right...

I have that one , I believe its called "kitchen mama "  It doesn't shut off by itself , you have to push the button on top when it's gone all the way around , it will back up a little bit and shut off . Incidentally , this Amazon one was $29 dollars . I found one like it on the Temu site for $6 dollars , it works the same but also shuts off automatically when it's gone around the can . Interesting !

@judianne @Desertdi @jlkz @MorningLover @Sooner et al thanks so much!  In my searching, I saw many recommendations for the Hamilton Beach opener.

@jlkz , noted the variety of sizes it opens.  Sounds like a winner to me.

Thanks again!

@judianne I have a larger one that does not shut off and a smaller one that does.  I love them and also have a manual one "in case" Woman Surprised!  I got both from Amazon.

Hello.

I also have a Hamilton Beach, it's a very convenient opener, it has an automatic shut-off feature and a safe edge. Such kitchen goods are shipping to me from China to the USA

I have a Cuisinart can opener.  Before I bought it, I researched on line.  I bought it from Williams Sonoma because I had a gift certificae and their reviews on it were good.
