I just used the electric crepe maker for the second time to prepare the crepes for my cheese blintzes with outstanding results. Indeed this is far better than the one I had in the 70's.
Using the batter recipe that came with the unit with the exception of another egg (I wanted an even more delicate crepe) and a tablespoon of oil, I made all my crepes in about 20 minutes and most of them were perfectly round and smooth with only a small bubble.
As I continued the process I settled on immersing the crepe maker in the batter for about 3-4 seconds and after the crepes were cooking a short time, I flipped over the crepe maker and they fell off.![]()
The key to using this is following the directions where you wipe butter on and off the maker before you dip it in.
Watching the videos on the Internet using a pan no where did I see such excellent even border crepes. I am very glad I got this unit (and so is my family).
