This is a sincere question - not trying to be snarky. Why do you buy your salmon from QVC and not from the grocery? I have a choice of fresh or frozen salmon at the grocery and only buy wild caught. Is that not an option where you live?

@shoesnbags --not at all snarky--and go figure--I live near Seattle and can get fantastic seafood, fresh, year round--but as far a buying salmon in the grocery store--if is usually so thin that all you get is skin with a tiny sliver of meat, yet pay enormous $$ per pound. The faroe island salmon is nice thick pieces of meat, no skin or bones and to my mind, is reasonably priced for what you get. And it always smells and tastes fresh. Now I also used to buy a whole salmon---top it with delicious things, wrap in it foil and put it on the grill--- but that was so many years ago when the cost was not that of a car payment-😜--I have no issues with how these fish are raised.

Thanks for explaining @wagirl 😉

The North Atlantic salmon farming practices are under widespread and intense scrutiny. Do your own research. I wouldn't buy it.
