REceived email stating my egg harbor cape hake are backordered, however see where order can be made and are in stock for s lesser quantity for higher price!  Can QVC do this!  Seems unfair.

Reorder at  new price and cancel other and I have done that before.

@Roscoe the Rascal @Parisinspring If reordering QVC CS needs to be involved to issue the original lower price, right?

I think this is poor business practice.  Auto delivery price should remain the original price paid and not be increased.  The product is available but they want to charge me more for less product than originally ordered.

This happened to me when I had bagels on auto-delivery at a relatively inexpensive price.  The sales people tout auto-delivery by telling you that no matter how high the price may go, if you have auto-delivery, you are guaranteed to continue to receive your product at the same price.  That's the biggest lie I ever heard.  

 

I received an e-mail telling me that my auto-delivery was no longer available but there were other bagels I could get on auto-delivery.  Of course, these bagels were at a much high price. I did ask if the price on these bagels could be adjusted to the same price as my previous auto-delivery price since they cancelled the original auto-delivery.  I don't need to tell you the answer. Since I really enjoy these bagels, I did agree to the purchase price.  I don't like their business practices and buy very little from them.

It does seem shady.  They promote auto-delivery as a way to lock in the price on future deliveries.  But they're allowed to put the item on "backorder" indefinitely to force you into a higher-priced similar item?

What's a "cape hake"?  Nevermind.  Just googled.  I have never heard of this.  Interesting.  Sorry about the pricing issue.

I understand cancelling auto delivery if the product is no longer available.  But price alone shouldn't be a factor.  That stinks.  I had gingerbread man 3-1 on AD for years (once a year) so it wasn't like it was ever 60-90 days.  Of course you can get it now at double the price.  Just quit touting your great reasons to lock in AD pricing.

Goodnews, after writing to QVC about my egg harbor complaint,  today, 7/14 I received my Backorder of cape hake fillets!  I am extremely happy everything turned out the way it should have!
