I wondered why they still had all of food out on display if no one was eating it.  Seems like a lot of wasted money to display all of that.

So then, WHY are they pouring and cutting and wasting all this food????????????????

Does that answer the question as to why the food is so overpriced????????????

They are breathing on the food and standing over it and talking over it, so what is the deal?  Is it all discarded or donated as they claimed years ago?  If it is donated, then it is a crime.  If it is cut up, or poured out and then just tossed away, that is another crime.  Perhaps they should just replace food shows right now with something else.  By the way, I enjoyed the comments of others about David and food, LOL.

What I want to know is, what happens to all that food now?  I know before the crew ate alot and they took alot home and also gave it to food banks and stuff. But since no one is eating the food now, what are they doing with it all? I would hope they wouldn't be just throwing it all away, that would be a huge waste of food that a lot of people could use. Is there any way to find out what they're doing with the food now? I would be very disapointted if they were just throwing it all in the trash. Considering a lot of it is in packages and sealed still.

David needs to stop eating on the shows and stay out of the kitchen! He is obese! Get healthy, David!

The hosts have stated that the food is simply not being eaten ON AIR, and you can see that they are being much more careful to not open or touch or poke at or cut up as much of each product in the demonstrations. I'm fairly sure that a significant amount of the food is still being consumed by the cast and crew after the shows are over and that someone at the Q has the job of watching the presentations to determine that their food safety protocols are being followed (probably a job that previously existed but has more scrutiny now).

As others have noted, none of the food shown on air will be donated, as it cannot meet the standards established for food pantries and other organizations with regard to preparation, freshness, packaging, or safety in handling and transport, even though QVC does have a commercial kitchen that is run by trained professionals and likely certified/licensed with appropriate agencies.

So what happens to the food that's presented? Does it all get thrown out? That would be incredibly wasteful, I can't imagine tossing all that lobster, turkey, ham, etc.
