I have a friend who has free roaming chickens and ducks. She gives eggs away to her friends. I started getting them from her a few weeks ago. Prior to me picking them up, I said I would prefer chicken eggs. I have a mental block about duck eggs. She has the same opinion but acknowledges that duck eggs are quite healthy, higher in nutrients than chicken eggs. So she gave me chicken as I requested. I called the other day and spoke with her husband, asking if they had eggs and could I pick up a couple dozen. He told me to come over.
I fried some yesterday and again today. The yolks are huge. I think I got duck eggs. And you know what? They are great, taste just like chicken eggs.
Would you eat another type of egg besides chicken eggs?

Duck eggs are the best for baking! They make great cakes and cookies. Nothing more fun than having ducks around. They have the best personalities.

I'm very open when it comes to trying new foods. I've never had duck eggs, but would love to give them a try. Glad you enjoyed them!

I have eaten ducks eggs and they are very delicious. Also have had tiny quail eggs and they were so teeny it was hard to even taste them. No--I have no aversion to eating eggs other than chicken. As long as they are unfertilized that is.

@JeanLouiseFinch Yes, ostrich eggs. Taste just like chicken.

Good for you to try something different. I will go to my grave eating only the eggs 🥚 of a chicken 🐔

I have an aversion to eggs period. I can't even stand the smell of cooked eggs. I don't know why but I have been this way all of my life. I wish I didn't have this problem with eggs but at my age this is not something that I can change.

Yes, I ate a fertilized duck egg in the Philippines. It's called "balut." It's hard-boiled but unpleasant nevertheless.
