I still do. I wanted a wooden one because I don't use a loaf of bread up quickly. I had purchased a ceramic one and that did not keep the bread as long as I would like. I have repurposed that one for my Kind bars and nut snacks. I finally found one at BB&B. Still am using it.

I just recently started using a bread box. I've had this box for a long time and for what ever reason hadn't been using it. I was up in the attic recently and saw it. I thought...hmmm...why am I not using this? I brought it down, cleaned it up, and I'm liking how nice it looks and how well it keeps my bread.

When we were using bread regularly, I kept it in a big Longaberger Basket on top of my refrigerator. Bread is now stored the freezer because we only use a couple of slices once in a great while. The basket is still up on the 'fridge, but is a catchall for opened bags tortilla chips, pretzels, etc.

One of the best decisions we've made since moving in here was to have the pantry updated. We had wire racks, like from the hardware store. Then we had it customized by one of those closet specialist companies, divided and subdivided with pull out shelves and baskets. One shelf is dedicated for bread.
I initially thought this expense to be frivilous; however, I see now how an organized pantry is a money saving feature. I can see everything I have in stock now. "It's a Good Thing."

Yes. It's stainless steel and is from the Container Store. I really like having a bread box.

When we were first married, I bought a wooden bread box that I still have and use (32 years later). It's big so it holds more than just bread, so I keep our meds and vitamins in there. It's really pretty and in good shape, so I like the "look" it adds to my kitchen.

No bread box here, but I've found the inside of a microwave oven makes a great place for storing bread, rolls, muffins, etc. LOL

Yup, I have an expandable acrylic one with a built in bread board to store bread from my breadmaker. Don't know if it keeps it fresher than a ziplock bag, but it's handy.
