Does anyone use a bread box?!

We still have a wooden bread box that was in my family for years. Wondering if anyone still uses these? Or a metal one or other type. We have no bread drawer which would be really nice.

yes, I use a metal one. Really keeps your bread fresh longer. Looks neater on counter too! Love it.

Years ago we had a pine one ( we have antiques) but I started using a 14 inch cabinet with a pull out shelf to save space.  I don't have any freshness problems at all.

I have a pine on with a stained-glass insert in the front door.  I use it to keep dish towels in.  My bread is in a lock and lock bread holder.

We put our bread in our warming drawer, under our stovetop.  When we first moved into this house, I just kept it out on the counter.  Then it dawned on me one day that putting it in the warming drawer would be perfect.  The only other thing in there is a 9 X 13 Temptations set that I rarely use.

I do but it doesn't have any bread or baked goods in it.

I have a beautiful, retro looking one that is full of Penzy's and Spice Store spices!  Smiley Happy

I have a vintage wooden bread box, but I don't keep bread in it. I use it to keep our meds in. It looks cute on my kitchen counter and it also keeps our medications in one location but out of sight if we have visitors.

We had one in our former house and I have no idea why but when we moved 10 years ago I gave it away.  Sure do wish that I had it now.  Bread here always ends upon the counter.  If I still had it i would be using it to keep breads in.

Ooh, there's that color of font that makes the eyeballs bleed.  Smiley Happy

I put my bread in a Lock & Lock container.  It keeps it fresh for a LOT longer than anything else I've tried.

I know you can refrigerate or freeze bread, but that gives it a weird taste that is very displeasing to me.
