I have never used a filter for water or a pitcher with the filter. Do any of you use them? Im thinking of
getting the Britta if that is a good choice. The pitcher though not the filter you put on your faucet. I hope to get some reviews and comments ![]()

We used to have one. When we got a new fridge it wasn't handy so we got an Aquasana that connects to our faucet. It's just a spigot and not a huge filter, that sit's on the side. I gave my filters to a friend and he uses his still. I've heard Zero water is the best, but who knows.

I've used a Britta filter for years. I really like it, and the water tastes good.

Used the Britta filter system for years until I purchased a new refrig w/filter for the water dispenser. I think the product is good. You just need to decide if you want a pitcher in refrig or on your counter vs filter on your faucet in the kitchen. You should be able to see reviews online.

We use a Berkey water purifier. I love that thing. It can literally make pond water and pool water safe to drink.

I have a Brita 10-cup water pitcher and like it very much. Mine has some kind of light device in the lid that is supposed to change color when you need a new filter, but I've not found it to be helpful. It doesn't seem to work correctly, so I've given up on it and run it through the dishwasher, something I value more than an alert to filter replacement, anyway.
I actually have a countertop filter and then run water from that through the Brita for drinking water. Water for cooking or the coffee maker just goes through the countertop filter. Before I bought the countertop filter I just used the Brita, but that was too slow if I wanted to filter all my coffee and cooking water.
All pitcher filters take a few minutes to fill because the filters aren't very speedy. Pur water filters are also great. Each Pur filter is effective for twice as long as a Brita filter, so factor that into cost comparisons. I have my Brita filters delivered every 2 months through Amazon's Subscribe and Save, so it's really easy for me to manage and replace.

I had a Britta w pitcher, which did a good job -- until I dropped a full pitcher on my kitchen floor and it cracked. I decided to get a Pur filter on the faucet and it works just great. I bought a plastic pitcher at the dollar store and I'm happy with the results.

I have a fancy pull-out faucet in the kitchen so I can't install a filter onto it, so I have a Brita pitcher. I like it for coffee, tea and drinking water. Straight tap water tastes metallic to me.
I usually buy filters at Costco but I might look into trying Pur next.

We've used a Brita for years and have been very happy with it. It really makes a big difference in our drinking water, as well as coffee and tea. Our pitcher has an indicator in the lid so you know when to change the filter. I usually change it within a week or so of the date indicated. They put so much chlorine in our water that I know I have to change the filter when I can smell chlorine again. I buy multi-packs of the replacement filters at BJ's and wash the pitcher by hand.

I have a Brita and really like it. I actually use it not only for myself, but for my dog and cat. My veterinarian recommended it for them, too! Have the top in my unit which tells you when you need a new filter. I've found that one filter goes a LONG way.
