I do wash my eggs with water. I don't know if I have always done this as I can't remember thinking about this subject. I am surprised that I am in the minority and I can assure you I am not a cleanliness fanatic. Go figure.

I've never washed eggs and never will. What I DO wash however, is my hands, after I crack them open to use and have disposed of the shells.
