Re: Do Your Remember - Pyrex Primary Colors Nesting Mixing Bowls?

Several sets are on ebay.  Some are quite low if you can do without the next smallest.

They also have the brown set.  I prefer the clear set.

The potato peeler that you are looking for is still available

from Vermont Country Store. It is made in Sweden and it is the best and only kind I have ever used.

I have the red bowl and the green bowl.  They were my Mother's.  I have no idea what happened to the yellow and blue one.

I have those bowls, formerly my grandmother's, then mother's.  Perfect sizes for different uses.

Have a Pyrex set like this inherited from my MIL's kitchen when she passed.....they are PINK and very heavy, probably 1940's. I display them proudly.

I'm a retired antique dealer and these bowls  sell for around $50.00 a set in our area.  Upper Michigan.  One thing to think of, a dishwasher dulls the paint on these.

Yes, yes, yes.  I can remember corn pudding being put in the fridge in one of those like it was yesterday.  We also had Grandpa's lunch in them sometimes.  He was really Great Grandfather, and he ate little meals.  Two of them would contain his lunch.  He would eat maybe peas and potatoes.  I had to make him toast to go with that.  What memories.

I have both my Mom and MIL's sets but I still brake for yard/estate sales and have found others to add to my collection even at flea markets. Love the colors!

Re: Do Your Remember - Pyrex Primary Colors Nesting Mixing Bowls?

I have so many of the bowls and those rectangular refrigerator dishes, from decades of collecting at yard sales and thrift stores.  Never paid more than a couple of dollars for any of them, and I still have my mother's big (but battered) yellow bowl.

Great topic!  👍🏻
