I eat a lot of vegetables and I try and spice them up so they are more palatable. Therefore, I use pepper flakes, salsa , chilli powder but most of all, I use smoky paprika on almost every thing. I just discovered it last year.
I don't like so much heat that I sweat, but enough to tingle my lips.

A well known restaurant has almost totally changed the menu to a hot sauce or it's hot /in another way. I no longer go there.
@ECBG Oh LAWD! I cannot stand hot food. I get very upset when food is way too hot. Like when you order in a new restaurant and have no idea what the hot level will be. Or because the waitress lies to you. LOL
Hubs loves hot sauce. I buy it for him. I never touch it.
My idea of hot is a small schmear of horseradish cream sauce along side my steak to dip. And I don't dip every piece. My fave brand is Inglehoffer. Most of my grocery stores carry it. You can find it on Amazon too.
I can handle a few red pepper fkakes when I make cavatelli and broccoli. That's about it though. I really enjoy supper and I don't want my mouth on fire. Ha. I commend all you ladies that can eat like that.
I like my food well spiced. By spiced, I mean; fresh rosemany, cracked pepper, oregano, garlic, fresh thyme, mint, juniper berries, nutneg and such like that.

I don't like hot and spicy food because I don't like pain or a burning mouth! I don't understand people who enjoy super hot chicken wings, etc. My husband loves them. Ugh I don't want pain when I eat!
I like salty though. Now some people don't understand the salty thing.
To me, spicy is the same thing as hot, so no to spicy food also.

I like a bit of spice for certain foods. Cocktail sauce for shrimp cocktail must have a bite and Mexican food. My Dad always had Tabasco Sauce in the house.

I really don't, AT ALL. I do love Mexican food, but not hot.
For me, the 'hot' just masks flavors and I really like flavors. When I cook I tend to layer flavors throughout the dish. If I add a bunch of 'hot', then it won't taste as good.
Plus, I think I'm probably pretty wimpy about hot food. It just seems to take over everything else so all I'd be tasting would be the hot.
