LOL, isn't that the truth.   Awhile ago I was reading Peter Wimsy Mysteries and it had some the same issues we complain about today (as new)   They were wrote in the 20's and 30's by a British author.

Typically when someone copies a product, they either add an improved functionality or reduce or undercut the original price.

QVC and the founder believe spray painting a name on the item justifies a +10-15% price increase to the customer

I don't believe your customers will accept that.

Re: Did David say that Mark M.

I have no experience with that brand except for a little peeler someone gave me recently as a gift.  I was totally unimpressed.  The blade rusted almost immediately and the peeler is awkward to use.

I'd have to hear really good things from someone before I'd spend my own money on the brand.

Re: Did David say that Mark M.

I think that you either mised the original point or ignored it.

The discussion never focused on some vegetable peeler that you bought someplace.

The focus is on items sold by QVC and "copied" by the founder.

Re: Did David say that Mark M.

Kinda OT, but I don't understand why some folks keep trying to play the 'freedom of speech' card here.

It's not the government, it's private property.  How many times does that need to be explained?

Re: Did David say that Mark M.

I have not complained about freedom of speech in my post. With some difficulty, I have tried my best to comply with QVC requirements. They (QVC) have approved that the posts have complied with their requirements.

Oh i know.  I just mean for those who specifically bring up 'freedom of speech'.   I apologize if it seemed like I was targeting you.  I totally wasn't.  Smiley Happy

It just gets tiresome when people specifically bring that up, having no idea what the notion actually means.  I should probably have just kept my big mouth shut but it's really aggravating.

ETA - It looks like that person deleted their post.  That's why mine makes no sense.  Sorry about that.

Re: Did David say that Mark M.

I appreciate your clarification. I simply assumed since you postd your complsint directly on my thtead, the criticism was directed at me.

Thank you for your additional thoughts. I appreciate it.

Re: Did David say that Mark M.

Totally agree. There are products that just aren't worth the money---but QVC doesn't want the truth out there. Especially for their big retailers. (You know who they are.)
